Living Montessori is a Full member school, catering for ages 0 to 12, using the SAMA Montessori Curriculum. We are set on a small-holding, approximately 2km from the Northgate Shopping Centre, close enough to the city, yet far enough to be in natural surroundings. We have a large, well-maintained playground with ample jungle gyms and other gross motors activities. We have pot-bellied pigs, egg-laying chickens, ducks, rabbits, a tortoise, guinea fowl and various other bird life. The animals allow the children to understand responsibility and how all beings are interconnected in the world. We also have a simple greenhouse that allows the children to plant their own fruit and vegetables.
Living Montessori is committed to the development of the whole child by implementing a curriculum and methodology based on the Montessori philosophy of education and human development. We provide an exciting and fun educational environment, offering an extensive array of hands-on activities, which makes learning fun. Children explore activities in a clean, safe and beautiful environment including a green, well-maintained playground in which they can have fun.
Our ultimate objective is to encourage children to use their inner resources to develop their true potential, so as to acquire the ability to live with others in peace, harmony and security by:

• Building powers of discrimination
• Encouraging positive attitudes
• Providing a firm foundation on which to build formal learning
