Our Oakdale Montessori Sunningdale Campus is expanding, and we are delighted to be opening an additional 3–6 Montessori classroom in January 2027!
We are looking for a passionate, experienced and nurturing Montessori Directress to join our growing Oakdale family and take the lead in creating a beautiful, inspiring and authentic Montessori environment.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves Montessori education and is excited about establishing a new classroom, building meaningful relationships with children and families, and helping little minds flourish.
 Who are we looking for?
Someone who:
·       Has a genuine love for children aged 3 to 6 years and a passion for the Montessori philosophy.
·       Is confident and experienced in leading a Montessori 3–6 classroom.
·       Can create and maintain a beautiful, calm, organised and purposeful prepared environment.
·       Has a sound knowledge of Montessori materials and is confident presenting lessons across all curriculum areas.
·       Understands the importance of observation, individualised learning and following the child.
·       Encourages independence, confidence, respect and a natural love of learning.
·       Can guide and mentor an Assistant Directress, working together as a supportive teaching team.
·       Communicates warmly and professionally with parents, children and colleagues.
·       Is organised and confident with lesson planning, observations, progress reports and record keeping.
·       Brings creativity, patience, enthusiasm, reliability and a positive attitude to the classroom.
Qualifications and requirements
·       A recognised Montessori 3–6 qualification.
·       Previous experience working in a Montessori 3–6 environment, preferably in a leadership role.
·       A valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
·       A strong understanding of Montessori philosophy, classroom management and the prepared environment.
·       Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
·       The confidence and enthusiasm to establish and lead a new classroom.
