Part-time Montessori Assistant Directress (3–6 years)

Start date: 4 May 2026 | Part-time
We are seeking a caring, patient Assistant Directress for our Montessori 3–6 environment. This position is suitable for a qualified Montessori teacher, someone currently studying toward a Montessori 3–6 diploma, or a candidate willing to undertake training.
Key responsibilities:
- Support classroom management and deliver Montessori-based learning for children aged 3–6.
- Assist with the school aftercare programme.
- Observe, support and nurture children’s independence, social and emotional development.
- Help maintain a calm, orderly classroom with a full set of Montessori materials.
- Build respectful, professional relationships with staff and engage in ongoing learning.
- Maintain high standards of safety and care at all times.
Required qualifications & skills:
- Montessori qualification, currently studying for one, or willingness to study for a Montessori 3–6 diploma.
- Understanding of child development for ages 3–6.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Calm, patient, reflective approach to working with young children.
