Esara International School, nestled in the beauty of Chiang Mai, Thailand, is seeking passionate and professional Montessori educators ready to innovate, inspire, and embark on a vibrant Southeast Asian adventure.
We are looking for a calm, capable, and experienced Children’s House Lead Guide (3–6) to lead an authentic Montessori Primary environment and create a classroom where children thrive in independence, concentration, confidence, and character.
Role Summary:
Esara International School is looking for a calm, nurturing, and highly capable Toddler Community Lead Guide (1.5–3) to lead our youngest classroom and create a safe, secure, and beautifully prepared environment where children begin their first steps into independence, language, movement, and social awareness.
This is a deeply important role in our school.
At this age, children are not just learning skills — they are forming trust, emotional security, and their first relationship with the world outside the home.
- The Lead Guide holds that responsibility with care, clarity, and consistency.
- They don’t “manage toddlers.”
- They guide development.
- They create rhythm.
- They prepare the environment.
- They model calm.
- They support separation gently.
- They build independence step by step — with patience, respect, and clear boundaries.
We are looking for someone who understands that toddler education requires presence, patience, and precision.
The right person will be warm but grounded, gentle but structured, and deeply attuned to both the emotional and developmental needs of young children.
About Esara:
At Esara, we believe education is about more than academics. We are building a school where children grow in character, confidence, responsibility, curiosity, and contribution. Our programme is Montessori-informed and values calm environments, meaningful work, strong relationships, and whole-child development. We believe good people build a better future. That belief shapes how we work with children, with families, and with one another as a team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Toddler Community Lead Guide will:
- Lead the daily running of the Toddler Community (1.5–3) classroom
- Prepare, maintain, and elevate a calm, safe, orderly, and nurturing prepared environment

- Support children through separation, transitions, toileting, eating, and rest with patience and care
- Guide the development of independence in practical life skills (feeding, dressing, cleaning, movement)
- Support early language development through clear, rich, and consistent communication
- Model grace and courtesy, gentle boundaries, and respectful interactions
- Observe each child closely and respond to their developmental needs with intention
- Support social development, including early sharing, turn-taking, and conflict guidance
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding at all times
- Lead, mentor, and align co-teachers/assistants to ensure consistency in care and expectations
- Communicate warmly and clearly with families, especially around transitions, development, and routines
- Collaborate with leadership to support smooth transitions into Children’s House (3–6)
- Contribute positively to the wider school culture, parent education, and community events
- Uphold Esara’s ethos, values, and safeguarding expectations at all times

- Ability to support separation, transitions, and early independence with confidence
- Strong organisation and classroom management skills
- Ability to lead and guide co-teachers/assistants with clarity and consistency
- Warm, respectful, and professional communication with families
